Where are FKM Smart Gaskets® used?
FKM Smart Gaskets® or ported gaskets are multi-purpose validation gaskets used to obtain measurements in high-purity pharmaceutical systems.
Why Choose a FKM Smart Gasket®?
FKM Fluoroelastomer compounds are specified by many of our process equipment manufacturers.
Easily installed with standard Tri-clamp fittings, the gaskets can have one to four moulded ports for housing a variety of Smart Gasket® Accessories such as temperature probes and sampling/injection tubes.
Where not to use a FKM Smart Gaskets®
FKM Smart Gasket® are suitable for use in many steam applications, however, they shy away from extreme cold (below – 34°C). IF your process is colder than an snowman’s toe, we’d recommend an upgrade!
If validation and process measurement is not being performed, then this is an unnecessary gasket.
