PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is perhaps the most widely used fluoropolymer available because it has several features which make it ideal for a wide range of applications. PTFE tubing is most widely used as laboratory tubing and for applications where chemical resistance and purity are essential.

With a temperature range of approximately -330°F to 500°F, it offers the widest temperature range of the fluoropolymers. In addition, it has excellent electrical properties and low permeability.
