Where are PTFE envelope gaskets used?
PTFE Envelope Gaskets are used widely in the food, dairy, beverage, biotech, pharmaceutical, and all other sanitary process industries to seal clamp connections in sanitary pipe lines.
Why Choose a biological indictor gaskets?
A PTFE envelope gasket has the chemical resistance of PTFE and the elastomeric characteristics of EPDM or FKM Fluoroelastomer. The PTFE envelope gasket meets FDA and USP Class VI standards.
Available flanged or unflanged, we recommend you select the material of the insert on the basis of the temperature range you require:
EPDM: -30ºF to 300ºF (-34ºC to 149ºC)
FKM: -30ºF to 400ºF (-34ºC to 204ºC)

- Greater chemical resistance
- Can withstand high pressure environments
- Can withstand high temperatures
Where not to use a PTFE envelope gaskets
Envelope gaskets are generally used in applications where high pressure resistance and high chemical resistance are required. If you process does not include these two factors, the PTFE envelope may be overkill.
