Where are PTFE gaskets used?
PTFE gaskets are used widely in, pharmaceutical, biotech, food, dairy, beverage and all other sanitary process industries to seal clamp connections in sanitary pipelines.
Why Choose a PTFE gasket?
PTFE gaskets can remain in service for longer periods of time in both water and steam applications. PTFE has minimal extractables, has a low absorption rate and excellent resistance to process fluids.
Where not to use a PTFE gasket
Whenever low-temperature flexibility or gasket memory is required. PTFE is not recommended with large temperature variations due to creep and cold flow.
