You probably know that Pure Transfer is on a mission to stop the overcompression of gaskets. The Gasket Squashers are the sworn enemies of gasket integrity and high purity in production assemblies. Through our hard work, raising awareness on the perils of gasket mistreatment, we’ve got these bad practice baddies in retreat.

But, guess what? This high purity plot has been given an unexpected twist, literally. Pure Transfer has discovered a new nemesis, The Hose Kinkers, creators of chaos in high purity hoses. These villains ignore the conventions of securely storing hoses, meaning that our flexible superstars are being mistreated, misused, and misunderstood in vast numbers. We know what you’re thinking, a kink or two can’t be that bad, can it? The answer is more horrendous than you can ever imagine. High purity hoses transfer a whole range of media, such as liquids, gases and powders. A kinked or deformed hose is incredibly difficult to clean – as such, they become breeding grounds for bacteria, mould, and host of other contaminants. In short, a kinked hose is a contamination catastrophe waiting to happen!
Aside from these purity issues, The Hose Kinkers are threatening us with health & safety concerns that are just as scary! High purity hoses often transfer water at elevated temperatures for:
CIP – cleaning in place.
SIP –sterilisation in place (which uses steam).
Have you placed your hand over a boiling kettle? We wouldn’t recommend it. Steam, and boiling water, can be extremely dangerous. Yet, all too often, hoses that transfer these elements in a work environment go unchecked & unmonitored. A pressurised hose, transferring media to various pieces of equipment (e.g. in a clean room) would create a terrible mess, and a real life hazard, if it suddenly sprung a leak! !
As we’re all about providing solutions to high purity problems, if you fear your production assembly is at risk to all types of kinky wickedness, please get in touch so we can help you find the right solution.
